Job summary

Senior PsychCare seeks a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform brief cognitive and emotional assessments, manage psychotropic medications, and adjust dosages in geriatric patients in Louisiana nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Licensed in LA to practice psychiatry as PMHNP or PA, you will join a team of geriatric specialists, with optional telehealth and flexible scheduling, in a field-based role that emphasizes continuity of care and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Licensed in LA to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Psychiatric experience.
• Geriatrics experience is preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Driving required.
• Must be adaptive and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief cognitive and emotional assessments.
• Psychotropic medication management and gradual dosage reductions.
• Collaborate with nursing home staff to provide quality patient care.
• Field-based role with flexible scheduling and possible telehealth.
