Job summary

Independent Home Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with IDD in the Tamaqua area. You’ll help with daily living, independence, and community participation, with opportunities for daytime, evening, and weekend hours based on client needs.

Benefits include mileage reimbursement and a supportive onboarding/training program to ensure quality care. Prior DSP experience is helpful but not required for every opportunity.

Qualifications

• Caring and reliable with a compassionate approach.
• Able to communicate clearly and consistently.
• Willingness to complete DSP/ODP training.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals.
• Help with daily living skills and personal goals.
• Offer companionship and encouragement.
• Assist with community activities and outings.
• Support individuals to develop independence.
• Provide transportation when required.
• Follow individualized support plans and complete documentation.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment.
