Qualifications

• Licensed/regulated as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in NY.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Pediatric experience or willingness to work with pediatric patients required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s functional status and home environment for barriers to independence.
• Execute treatment program and goals; communicate plans to care team.
• Teach new skills or retrain patients in daily activities.
• May fabricate splints and instruct on adaptive equipment.
• Maintain clinical records and communicate changes to physicians.
• Coordinate with care team for comprehensive plans.
