Job summary

Springfield Clinic seeks a Flex Clinical Staff member who delivers patient care in alignment with each patient’s needs and the clinic’s policies. The role supports physicians, manages daily office operations, and emphasizes confidentiality and professional conduct.

You will obtain medical information, assist in examinations, and help coordinate tests and referrals while safeguarding patient rights and providing compassionate support to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Educated as CMA, LPN or RN by an approved program.
• Current licensure in Illinois or CMA certification.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical information, chief complaints, vital signs and diagnostic results for physician review.
• Assist physician during examinations by handing instruments and preparing equipment.
• Administer care per provider prescriptions within scope of practice.
• Coordinate care with treatment plans, order tests, relay results, and arrange referrals as needed.
• Protect patient rights and address service-related complaints as the patient advocate.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families.
• Maintain professionalism and comply with clinic policies, dress code, and confidentiality.
