Job summary

Celebree School is hiring a Child Care Substitute Teacher to support lead teachers and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for children, families, and visitors.

You will assist in lesson planning, classroom transitions, and communicating with parents; promote a positive image and comply with policies. Training provided and opportunities for advancement through Celebree’s curriculum.

Qualifications

• English speaking is a must.
• Childcare experience minimum 1 year
• Two years' experience as assistant teacher preferred.
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Energetic, enthusiastic, loving and with passion to work with kids.
• Effective communication skills verbal and written.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid. Ability and flexibility in working with various age groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead Teachers in classroom management ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming & friendly classroom environment for children, parents & visitors.
• Assist in creating and implementing thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s curriculum.
• Assist in managing effective classroom transitions.
• Assist and supervise children during all activities; counsel children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensure that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained.
• Present a positive and professional image at all times adhering to uniform requirements.
• Communicate effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings.
