Job summary

Salvation Army Western Territory is partnering with churches in the San Jose area to provide caring childcare in nurseries or Children's Ministry programs during worship services and events. Opportunities mainly on Sundays, with additional shifts on Saturdays and weekdays.

You set your rate and schedule using the SitterTree app, choosing when, where, and how often you work. Jobs span Walnut Creek and nearby communities, offering a range of opportunities and the chance to earn $20-$25+ per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be willing and able to complete and pass a background check.
• Previous child care experience as a babysitter, nanny, church nursery worker, daycare, preschool, or early learning center teacher, etc.
• Experience with infant and toddler care including diaper changing, naptimes, bottle feeding, etc.
• Strong understanding of child development.
• Patient, kind, and nurturing.
• First aid/CPR certified, including pediatric.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in nurseries or Children's Ministry during worship services, group meetings, special events, and more through the SitterTree app.
• Chaperone and supervise children in a safe, engaging environment.
• Follow safety and supervision guidelines set by host churches.
• Coordinate with families and churches via the SitterTree platform.
