Job summary

The Geneva Suites is seeking a Float Care Partner to provide flexible, compassionate care across our seven residential homes in Bloomington and surrounding areas, including Eagan, Eden Prairie, Burnsville, and Edina. You will cover shifts as needed, support scheduling, and uphold our CARES core values while delivering high-quality resident care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and a willingness to obtain CNA/HHA training if not already qualified.

Qualifications

High School Graduate required.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance.
CNA or HHA course completion preferred.
Experience in assisted living or skilled nursing preferred.
Must read, write, and follow directions accurately.
Able to work with minimal direct supervision.
Strong health status and emotional stability.
Commitment to resident service and excellence.
Comfortable handling calls and working under pressure.
Flexible and a team player.

Responsibilities

Travel to any of The Geneva Suites’ seven resident home locations to provide care coverage as scheduled or in response to urgent staffing needs.
Answer incoming calls, adjust schedules as needed, and document accordingly.
Provide compassionate, high‑quality care aligned with residents’ care plans.
Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, and feeding.
Monitor residents for changes and promptly report to Nurse or Operations Manager.
Build strong relationships with residents, families, and team members through trust and communication.
Handle conflicts professionally and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
Adapt to changing resident needs and home routines with patience.
Maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations and ensure rooms/spaces are clean and organized.
Collaborate with Operations Manager to assist with staff scheduling and coverage coordination.
Communicate hand-offs and resident updates clearly across homes.
