Senior Helpers of Greater Chicago is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our award-winning team serving the Chicagoland area. We offer flexible scheduling across weekdays, weekends, and overnight shifts to fit your life and care for elderly or disabled clients in home and facility settings.

We provide ongoing training, opportunities for personal certifications, and a supportive staff focused on dignity and independence for clients.

Formación

• Compassionate and dedicated caregiver with 5+ years hands-on experience providing high-quality personal care.
• Proficient in assisting ADLs: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility.
• Skilled in safe patient handling with transfers using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and wheelchairs.
• Knowledgeable in monitoring vital signs, medication reminders, and documenting changes.
• Trained in infection control, hygiene management, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Strong communication with clients and families.
• Flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with insurance.
• Negative Tuberculosis test.

Responsabilidades

• Assisted clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Provided mobility support including safe transfers and ambulation assistance.
• Administered medication reminders and ensured adherence to care plans.
• Prepared nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assisted with feeding.
• Maintained a clean, safe living environment to prevent infection and accidents.
• Offered companionship and emotional support to promote well-being.
• Assisted with light housekeeping duties such as laundry and dishes.
• Accompanied clients to medical appointments.
• Observed and reported changes to families or healthcare professionals.
• Followed safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
