Job summary

First Bank is seeking a Flexible Transaction Banker to provide exceptional service and accurately complete transactions for customers across our Cedar Falls, Plainfield, or Waverly locations. The role offers a flexible schedule with specific daily hours constraints and a focus on building customer relationships and banking product knowledge.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, cash handling, referrals, and maintaining compliant, courteous service.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle monetary transactions.
• Ability to balance cash drawer and handle cash securely.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Process monetary transactions for customers, such as cashing monetary instruments, making deposits, withdrawals, and payments for mortgages, consumer loans, etc.
• Create official checks, etc.
• Scan transactions into system for processing
• Provide timely, courteous and professional customer service
• Build appropriate relationships with customers to better understand their banking needs
• Responsible for having an in depth understanding of transactional processes and retail bank products
• Assist customers with resolution of account concerns and issues
• Promptly and cheerfully answer phone calls and greet in a professional manner.
• Balance cash drawer and related duties as part of cash handling
• Promote bank products as solutions and refer customers accordingly
• Collaborate with team to support store-wide sales efforts
