Job summary

Break Time Sales Associates assist customers, process sales transactions and perform operational and food preparation duties necessary to keep the Break Time convenience store clean and well stocked while following all company policies and procedures to ensure proper and efficient operation during the scheduled shift. Sales Associates are energetic individuals who believe it only takes a moment to make your day better.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Friendly, customer-service oriented for a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change and complete shift reports.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use a computer/POS system.
• Food safety training and a Food Handler’s Card or equivalent.
• Physical ability to move and position products in coolers/freezers, up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for up to nine hours per shift.
• English communication skills (spoken, reading, writing).
• Pre-employment background check and drug test; legal US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with fast, friendly service and accurate transactions.
• Perform merchandising, pricing, promotions and stocking, including cooler products.
• Use POS and store technology to process sales and complete shift reports.
• Train new employees on company policies and procedures.
• Follow food preparation guidelines and ensure food safety and quality.
• Maintain store cleanliness and proper product display.
• Comply with local, state and federal regulations governing store operations.
