Job summary

Vassar & Company Properties is seeking experienced Painting Contractors to support renovation, maintenance, and property preparation projects across our portfolio in Florida. This is a 1099 contractor role with flexible, project-based scheduling, and projects are assigned based on property needs and timelines to fit your availability.

Responsibilities include interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, applying finishes, and maintaining site cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Valid contractor license (if required by State of Florida/local regulations)
• Own tools, equipment, and supplies
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
• Experience in residential and/or light commercial painting
• Ability to manage projects, timelines, and job site cleanliness

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting for residential and light commercial properties
• Prepare surfaces (patching, sanding, priming, caulking) for high-quality finishes
• Apply paint, coatings, and finishes using proper techniques and equipment
• Ensure clean lines, smooth finishes, and professional presentation
• Maintain job site cleanliness and organization
• Communicate project progress, timelines, and completion updates
• Valid contractor license (if required by State of Florida/local regulations)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Proven experience in residential and/or light commercial painting
• Ability to complete interior and exterior painting projects
• Knowledge of surface preparation, priming, and finishing techniques
• Must have your own tools, equipment, and supplies (sprayers, rollers, ladders, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality finishing standards
• Ability to manage projects, timelines, and job site cleanliness
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
