Job summary

Children's of Alabama in Hoover, AL, seeks a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist for the Imaging South division. You will perform radiological examinations and provide compassionate patient care to pediatric patients, supporting the Pediatric Imaging Diagnostic Division.

The position requires proficiency with fixed and mobile radiology equipment, CR/DR systems, immobilization devices, cassettes, and correct marker usage. On-call/flexi scheduling applies, Day Shift expectations, on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Essential: Registered Radiology Technologist.
• Associates degree in Radiology Technology required.
• CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and X‑ray exams experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiological examinations and patient care in Pediatric Imaging Diagnostic Division.
• Operate CR and DR equipment correctly and safely.
• Utilize immobilization devices and markers appropriately.
• Process cassettes and manage patient-related clerical/historical material.

Work schedule will be On-call/ Flexi on the Day Shift, Work as needed.

Summary

A Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing technical support to the Pediatric Imaging Diagnostic Division through the performance of radiological examinations and appropriate patient care.

Other information

• Must be proficient with all Radiological Equipment – fixed and mobile.
• Must know how to operate CR and DR equipment
• Must know how to use Immobilization devises.
• Must know how to use and process cassettes.
• Must be able to correctly use right and left lead Mitchell markers
• Must be proficient in using patient related clerical and historical material.
