Overview:

We are hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant at Sentara Therapy Center Port Warwick in Newport News, Virginia.

This is a flexi-pool role that will provide treatment coverage at 4 outpatient therapy centers in Hampton, Newport News, and Yorktown.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Sentara, you will administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. You may assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.

Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervises and assumes responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Education:
  • Associate Level Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)
Certification:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • RQI - American Heart Association (AHA)
Experience:
  • 2 years
