Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background investigation required by law; criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Be at least 18 years old; 21 if armed where applicable.
• Reliable and able to adapt to different post assignments.
• Strong oral and written communication; able to write clearly and accurately.
• Ability to operate radios/console monitors; interact cordially with the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for unusual conditions and potential safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or contact police/fire department as needed.
• Access control: permit authorized persons; monitor entrances/exits.
• Prepare reports on incidents; maintain post logs as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
