Job summary

Penske Logistics in Memphis is seeking a local Class A CDL truck driver for full-time work. The role covers regional routes across Tennessee with 11-hour days and overnight dispatch, and most days you’re home daily.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and U.S. domicile with state license
• DOT medical card that is current or obtainable
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• Clean DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency and compliance with safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Support Penske logistics operations across MS, TN, AL, AR
• Deliver auto parts to retail locations
• Perform touch freight using pallet jacks and totes
• Operate late-model equipment and ensure safety
• Provide coverage for routes based on business needs

Job description

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers

• Potential earnings of up to 100k
• Two consecutive days off each week

What you will do:

• Support multiple Penske logistics operations throughout Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, and Arkansas
• Deliver auto parts to retail locations
• Perform touch freight deliveries using pallet jacks, hand carts, and totes
• Operate a variety of late-model equipment
• Provide coverage for routes and locations based on business needs

Schedule:

• Typically a 5-day work week with 2 consecutive days off
• Average workday of approximately 11 hours
• Most routes dispatch overnight, generally around 8:30 PM
• Dispatch times and assignments vary based on route and location needs
• Drivers typically remain at an assigned location for the duration of a work assignment

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
