Job summary

Sunstates Security is seeking Flex Security Officers for the Auburn Hills, MI area. You will work across various posts and shifts, providing professional security presence and customer service while safeguarding people and property.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional security presence and deliver exceptional customer service while enforcing site security procedures.
• Conduct detailed shift pass-down procedures, including key accountability, equipment checks, review of activity logs, and communication of critical site information.
• Monitor and operate security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, telephones, alarm panels, and other security-related equipment.
• Complete accurate documentation and reporting using TrackTik/Silvertrac, including Daily Activity Reports, visitor logs, contractor logs, package logs, and incident reports.
• Perform routine interior and exterior security patrols to identify and report safety hazards, unlocked doors, suspicious activity, lighting outages, water leaks, and other facility concerns.
• Verify that all exterior doors, stairwells, restricted areas, loading docks, and access points are secure and operating in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with loading dock operations by verifying deliveries, controlling access, maintaining security during deliveries, and ensuring all dock areas are secured upon completion.
• Conduct scheduled lock and unlock procedures while maintaining strict adherence to key control and access management protocols.
• Report all incidents, maintenance issues, safety concerns, security violations, and emergency situations promptly, including detailed documentation and photographs when appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, contractors, and visitors while maintaining a professional appearance and compliance with all company, client, and site-specific policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work various shifts, days, weekends, and holidays.
