Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license if driving.
• Background check per law.
• Drug screen per law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 (21 if armed).
• Reliability and adaptability to post assignments.
• Operate radios/telecom equipment.
• Communicate clearly with the public.
• Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
• Evaluate situations quickly and accurately.
• Mediate conflicts with tact.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property; monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft; ensure proper property removal.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
