Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex Unarmed Multi Site Patrol in Union, NJ. The role offers 30-40 hours per week with a self-scheduling program and irregular shifts to support client needs.

You will patrol designated areas on foot or vehicle, perform safety checks, respond to incidents, and assist customers and staff with professionalism. A high school diploma and security experience are required, plus a valid driver's license for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Reliable transportation is required for Branch Flex assignments.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling for Branch Flex assignments.
• Must be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary.
