Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer for a site in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. This part-time role uses our shift-pickup platform to build a varied schedule and gain site experience across industries such as healthcare and education.

The position pays $21.00 per hour to start. Responsibilities include patrols, access control, incident reporting, and assisting people on site, with opportunities for growth within a leading global security company.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or 5 years verifiable security experience.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check required by law and policy.
• Drug screen required.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if armed).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate radios and monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rules and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
