Job summary

Marksman Security LLC is hiring a Flex Security Officer (Houston area) to support multiple locations. You will perform patrols, front-desk duties, access control, device checks, and dock operations across shifts including mornings, days, nights, and weekends. A background check and drug screening are required, with at least one year in security or customer service.

Training available. Candidate should be 18+, have a HS diploma, and a non-commissioned security license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to on call roles.
• Flexible in supporting shifts available.
• Mornings, Mid-day, overnight, and weekend availability required.
• Available for 2 shifts, 4-5 days a week required for locations in NORTH HOUSTON
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Non-Commissioned Security License required.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
• Minimum of one year of security experience.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Rover: Patrols on foot or by vehicle, detect suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism or theft.
• Gatehouse: Greet drivers/guests, check IDs, log vehicles, announce visitors, control access.
• Front Desk: Greet guests, provide customer service, monitor CCTV, manage access.
• Device Check: Scan device tags and IMEI against paperwork.
• North Dock: Monitor trash dump, track outbound trucks, count pallets, peak-season projects.
• South Dock: Count pallets, monitor projects, manage emails and truck data, open/close dock doors.
• Metal Detector: Check devices, ensure only approved items enter building.
• Tracker: Track high-value loads via computer software.
