Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Flex Access Control Coverage in Harrisburg, PA. The role offers 30–40 hours weekly with shifts that vary and a self-scheduling program to earn more, including nights and weekends. You will patrol, monitor, and report security events while supporting client needs.

Applicants should meet basic qualifications and be willing to travel, with a background check and drug screen required. 18+ age minimum for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed positions.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or threat.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor accesses.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs as required.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
