St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. in Plymouth/Farmington Hills, MI, is seeking a reliable Flex Security Officer. The role offers flexible scheduling across days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays to fit open shifts at both sites.

Pay is $18.45 per hour. You will patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents, assist visitors, and prepare incident reports while upholding safety standards and professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must have open availability, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and Monitoring: conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to maintain a visible security presence.
• Access Control: monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
• Incident Response: respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies promptly.
• Customer Service: assist visitors and staff with courtesy and professionalism.
• Report Writing: prepare detailed incident reports and logs.
• Safety Enforcement: uphold facility safety policies and protocols.
• Team Collaboration: work with fellow officers and local law enforcement when needed.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and professional Flex Security Officer to join our security team.

The Flex designation means you will be scheduled as needed to fill open shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible hours, supplemental income, or opportunities to gain experience in healthcare security.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol and Monitoring: Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to maintain a visible security presence and identify potential safety or security concerns.
• Access Control: Monitor and secure entrances, exits, and restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with facility procedures.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, fire alarms, or safety hazards.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional assistance to visitors and staff while maintaining a calm and confident demeanor.
• Report Writing: Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
• Safety Enforcement: Support and enforce facility safety policies, emergency protocols, and health guidelines.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other security officers and local law enforcement when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred, especially in high-traffic settings.
• Strong communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and perform frequent patrols.
• Must pass a background check
