Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is hiring a Flex Security Officer for full-time work in Plainfield, IL. The role requires availability on any day and at least two shifts, with duties at multiple site locations to support client security needs.

You will perform access control, patrols, and incident response while interacting with clients and guests. A strong focus on safety, de-escalation, and upholding security standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED, or ability to complete GED within 6 months.
• Standard computer/technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside and outside the client’s premises in various weather conditions.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
• Set up barriers / signage and provide direction or information to others.
• Carry out tasks and duties of similar nature as required for assigned site.

Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record required.
• High school diploma or GED required, OR ability to complete GED program within 6 months.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• CPR certification preferred (provided).
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in Securitas’ pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
