Job description

Yard Guard is a local pet waste removal company serving Northern Kentucky since 2023. We're adding a Flex Poofessional to our field crew: a steady one-day-a-week spot, with extra days available when we have more work. We call the role a Poofessional, and yes, that title is intentional.

Schedule

• One guaranteed shift every Thursday, about 5 hours
• Extra days offered when we have more hours (busy weeks, team members out, new clients). Take the ones that fit, pass on the ones that don't
• Flexible start time, as long as your route is done during daylight hours
• Weekends off
• A great fit for students, retirees, parents, or anyone who wants a dependable side gig

Pay

• $16 per hour during your first week of paid, hands on training
• $18 per hour once you're running your route solo
• $2 per hour bonus on top, every week, when the prior week had zero re-scoop complaints (that's $20 per hour for doing it right the first time)
• Company vehicle provided for routes. Prefer to drive your own? That's optional, and we pay 76 cents per mile when you do
• Optional $10 per week if you bag the waste and dispose of it in your own household trash (dropping it at our HQ works fine too)

What You'll Do

You'll drive between client homes, walk each yard, scoop, bag, and head to the next stop. We give you a route plan with GPS routing so you always know where you're going.

We supply: a company vehicle, tools, equipment, supplies, route plan, and uniform shirts.

You supply: a working smartphone, plus pants, coat, and footwear suited for outdoor work.

What the Job Actually Involves

This is outdoor work in every season. Rain, snow, heat, or cold, the route goes on. Thunder, lightning, or unsafe conditions are the only things that stop it. Expect a lot of walking, occasional lifting up to 30 pounds, and handling dog waste (with tools and bags). There's odor involved. If that's not for you, no hard feelings. The people who thrive here love being outside and moving at a steady pace.
