Allied Universal in Philadelphia is seeking a Security Officer Flex Patrol to patrol designated sites, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible security presence across diverse environments.

You will work 30–40 hours per week with varying shifts, offering steady income and opportunities for growth. This role provides hands‑on experience while supporting client needs in a dynamic security landscape.

Qualifications

• Availability to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation.
• Available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Willing to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law; criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law; licensing may be needed.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
