Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Flex Security Officer for full-time work in Hillsboro, OR. The role requires availability on 2nd and 3rd shifts and willingness to be stationed at multiple client sites.

You will patrol premises, monitor systems, control access, and respond to emergencies to maintain a safe environment. Prior security experience and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Above average computer/technology skills.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Must work independently and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and vigilance on shift.
• Willing to participate in pre-employment screening (drug test and background).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises, parking lots, and entry points to identify security risks.
• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and security equipment.
• Control access by verifying IDs and recording visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies.
• Enforce security protocols and company rules for premises and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and security equipment for vulnerabilities.
• Investigate suspicious activities and security breaches.

Flex Security Officer — Full Time

**Must be available any day, 2nd and 3rd shifts & will be stationed at various site locations**

Primary Site Location: Hillsboro, OR

Wage: $22.00/Hour

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Objectives

• Ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and company assets.
• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Help prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.

• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
