Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples for full-time Flex Houseparents to live on-campus and care for 8–13 students in a family-like home environment.

Responsibilities include supervision, routines, wellness, transportation, devotions, and budgeting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a placed houseparent role.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
