Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks full-time Flex Houseparents to live in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students daily while fostering a structured, family-like environment.

This two-person role requires a legally married couple with both spouses aged 27 or older and at least a high school diploma or GED. A willingness to drive, lift up to 50 lbs., and participate in training is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and support student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in developmental and recreational programs.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
