Job summary

Bob Jones University seeks a skilled Automotive Technician to manage a multi- bay shop, performing maintenance and repairs on university and BJU Press vehicles and equipment to support daily operations. The role requires hands-on diagnostic and repair work and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of related experience, an associate degree or higher, and proficiency with Outlook and online service manuals. On-site work with a conservative environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Perform maintenance on vehicles including oil changes, powertrain, brakes and HVAC.
• Diagnose, locate, and repair electrical, electronic and computerized vehicle systems.
• Experience with Outlook and online service manuals and online parts acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clear and organized shop environment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic symptoms on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform fleet vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
