Job summary

Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Atlanta seeks a Tire Maintenance Manager to hire, train and oversee technicians responsible for maintaining tires on company equipment. You will enforce safety and quality policies and ensure repairs are properly documented and tracked on repair orders.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, at least five years of supervisory experience in a shop, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of experience on commercial vehicles, or completion of a technical school program with 4+ years.
• At least five years of supervisory experience in a shop environment.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Wear the appropriate PPE when and where required.
• Hire, train and supervise staff in collaboration with HR.
• Schedule and monitor service and repairs.
• Communicate with maintenance team, operators and drivers about the status of equipment.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure roadworthy repairs.
• Update the database with current and accurate data.
• Conduct daily safety meetings with the crew.
• Open, review and close repair orders.
• Assign personnel to jobs based on capabilities.
• Determine necessary repairs and order required parts.
• Ensure MSDS availability and training on MSDS usage.
• Complete annual employee performance reviews.
• Attend monthly safety meetings.
• Comply with company rules and policies.
