Amerit Fleet Solutions in Lexington, KY is seeking a Diesel & Automotive Technician/Mechanic to service light to medium fleet vehicles. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks and vans, document work orders, and follow safety procedures. This role rewards hands-on problem solving, reliable performance, and teamwork in a nationwide company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on diesel and automotive maintenance/repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to own and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eligible to pass pre-employment screenings including drug screen and DOT physical (if required).

Pay & Schedule

Pay $38.00 - $44.00/hour (based on experience)

Pay Frequency Weekly pay - every Friday

Schedule Tuesday - Friday 100pm - 930pm | Saturday 800am - 430pm

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' of hands-on experience performing diesel and automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
