Join a leading commercial landscaping company as a Fleet Technician (Level 3) and play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on gas and diesel trucks, trailers, and a variety of landscape machinery.
- Service and repair 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines, as well as battery-powered equipment and mowers.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve vehicle and equipment issues, including electrical and battery systems.
- Install and maintain fleet technology such as OBDII trackers and dash cams.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to address complex or warranty-related equipment concerns.
- Respond to field emergencies and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime for operational crews.
- Travel to regional locations (Charleston and Greenville) as needed for preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Oversee and perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, tire services, brake adjustments, and blade sharpening.
- Lead the evening maintenance crew, ensuring daily tasks, shop organization, and fueling are completed efficiently.
- Document all repairs, labor hours, and parts usage accurately using Aspire software.
- Work closely with the Fleet & Facilities Manager to maintain optimal inventory levels and communicate equipment status and repair needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in shop, mechanic, or fleet maintenance roles.
- Strong expertise in gas and diesel vehicles, 2-cycle engines, and advanced electrical/battery systems.
- Experience in commercial landscaping or construction equipment maintenance is highly preferred.
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team members and management.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- ASE Certification is a plus.
- Must provide a comprehensive set of personal mechanic hand tools (specialty equipment provided).
- Ability to lift, carry, or push up to 50 lbs. regularly and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and repetitive movements.
- Comfortable working in both indoor shop environments and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities during busy seasons.
Work Location: In-person in Gilbert, SC (relocating to Lexington in 2027)
