Job summary

Ameren Illinois seeks a Fleet Technician in Decatur, IL to diagnose and repair a range of transportation equipment, including engines, drive trains, and electrical systems. This full-time role involves welding and maintenance of various vehicle types and is performed on a 2nd shift.

The position carries DOT safety-sensitive responsibilities and requires a Class A CDL with airbrake endorsements, along with successful CAST testing and automotive maintenance training or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED obtained.
• Completed automotive maintenance program or equivalent.
• Two years in an automotive repair facility or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, drive train, electrical, hydraulic and related systems.
• Repair and maintain passenger cars, trucks, aerial units and power operated equipment.
• Perform welding and related fabrication as required.
