Job summary

UniFirst seeks a reliable Fleet Technician in Florida to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on our medium- and heavy‑duty fleet, keeping vehicles safe, compliant, and road‑ready.

This role offers on‑the‑job training, a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional overtime, and benefits including 401(k) match, health insurance, life insurance, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands‑on experience with medium to heavy‑duty vehicle repair.
• Strong diagnostic skills with GM drivability; diesel experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet DOT requirements; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain fleet performance.
• Conduct corrective and predictive maintenance to ensure roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and branding; keep a clean, organized, and safe garage.
• Track maintenance tasks using a CMMS and source parts cost-effectively.
• Assist leadership with additional fleet operation tasks as needed.
