Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Fleet Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on our fleet. You will ensure compliance with DOT and regulatory standards, manage vehicle registrations, and maintain fleet appearance.

The role includes on-the-job training, standard Monday–Friday hours with overtime as needed, and benefits such as 401K matching and health insurance. Prior heavy-duty repair experience is valued, CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL license strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on heavy-duty vehicle repair experience.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and basic computer skills.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements and have a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are registered and compliant with plates and inspections.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Conduct corrective and predictive maintenance per DOT standards.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and cleanliness in line with UniFirst branding.
• Source parts and monitor pricing for cost-effective repairs.
• Use CMMS to track maintenance tasks and reports.
• Assist leadership with fleet operations as needed.
