Job summary

Mullinax Ford is seeking an experienced Fleet Technician in New York to maintain and repair Ford fleet vehicles, from small cars to heavy trucks. You will diagnose issues, perform complex repairs, review work orders, and ensure safety and quality following OEM guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in fleet or dealership work, Ford certification, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ford Certification Required.
  • At least 2+ years of Fleet or Dealership experience.
  • Experience working on gas-powered engines and heavy line repairs across multiple vehicle platforms.
  • ASE Certification preferred.
  • CDL preferred.
  • Familiarity with Ford factory systems and diagnostic tools (IDS, FDRS).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow factory specifications.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must supply personal tools for the role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Ford fleet vehicles—gas and diesel, across classes and sizes.
  • Review work orders and vehicle performance concerns to develop repair plans.
  • Inspect and test engines, drivetrain, brakes, suspensions, cooling, and electrical systems on various vehicles.
  • Ensure checks follow OEM guidelines and dealership protocols.
  • Road-test vehicles to confirm repairs and safety compliance.
  • Handle warranty parts and documentation per Ford requirements.
  • Stay current with manufacturer bulletins, updates, and training.
  • Communicate with team and supervisors to maintain workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately complete all job documentation including labor, parts, and summaries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Treat customer vehicles with care and return them in clean condition.
  • Follow dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.

Responsibilities:
