Coast Electric is currently seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our Fleet Maintenance team as a Fleet Technician. This position is responsible for assisting with the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Coast Electric and CoastConnect's vehicles and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The selected candidate will participate in Coast Electric's Fleet Technician Training Program, a structured program designed to develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and competencies necessary to advance through the Fleet Technician classifications towards becoming a Master Fleet Technician.
The Fleet Technician will work under the direction of the Fleet and Facilities Director and receive hands on training from experienced technicians while developing the ability to independently perform maintenance and repair activities.

This position requires the ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds; climb ladders and climb into and operate aerial equipment; and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and precise movements. The ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and equipment used in vehicle maintenance and repair. The ability to perform work requires near and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to recognize equipment conditions and potential safety hazards.
