Job summary

Flexjet LLC is seeking a Fleet Technical Manager specializing in Large Cabin Gulfstream aircraft to join our maintenance organization in Cleveland, Ohio. Lead fleet reliability, dispatch operations, and AOG support for Gulfstream G450/500/650/700 assets.

Role requires FAA A&P license, 5+ years in large cabin Gulfstreams, and strong knowledge of FARs and OEM service changes. Collaborate with OEMs and vendors in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P license required; Bachelor’s degree or 10 years aviation experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years with large cabin Gulfstream G450/500/650/700 experience.
• Knowledge of FARs and Gulfstream service bulletins required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to control center and support groups on demand.
• Coordinate maintenance for scheduled and unscheduled work; track delays and cancellations.

Fleet Technical Manager- Large Cabin (Gulfstream)

Flexjet is hiring a Fleet Technical Manager specializing in Large Cabin aircraft, specifically Gulfstream, to join our maintenance organization at Flexjet's facility in Cleveland, Ohio. The selected candidate will primarily focus on our growing Gulfstream G450/500/650/700 fleet of aircraft. The key responsibilities include managing fleet reliability and daily dispatch operations, offering troubleshooting and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) recovery support to the maintenance control center, and collaborating with fleet OEM technical support to address and enhance fleet reliability concerns.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical expertise and recommendations to various support groups of the control center when requested.
• Oversee coordination of maintenance activities for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance as well as follow-up procedures for delays and cancellations.
• Drive continuous improvement in aircraft availability, dispatch reliability, operating costs, and owner satisfaction with the Flexjet Technical Working Group process while also working with vendors and aircraft OEM representatives.
• Work in cross-functional environment to develop immediate and cost-effective solutions to operational problems.
• Assist maintenance providers and maintenance coordinators in troubleshooting complex aircraft maintenance issues.
• Review inspection programs, customer bulletins, and aircraft service changes issued by OEMs.
• Reports to the Lead Fleet Technical Manager.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field is desired; and/or 10 years of experience in an aviation environment.
• Minimum of 5 years working with large cabin, Gulfstream G450/G500/G650/G700 experience.
• Must have working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
• Must have working knowledge of Gulfstream Aircraft Service Changes and Customer Bulletins
• General and Business Aviation experience preferred.
• Experience with Gulfstream and Rolls Royce systems and operations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Must have experience of Gulfstream G450/500/650/700 aircraft.
• Must be familiar with multiple OEM and maintenance programs
• Must be familiar with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR)
• Working knowledge of FAR Part 135 maintenance preferred.
• Working knowledge of aircraft inspection programs (Chapters 4-5)
• Must be familiar with Gulfstream manuals and familiar with Rolls Royce manuals
• Ability to monitor trends, identify recurring aircraft discrepancies and drive long-term reliability recommendations
• Must be familiar with CAMP maintenance program
• Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs.
• Ability to function effectively individually or as a team member.
• Successful candidate will be highly motivated individual and a self-starter who works effectively under pressure and within time constraints.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules.
