Asplundh is seeking a Fleet Support Technician to provide maintenance and repair solutions for our fleet drivers, operators, and suppliers. You will troubleshoot, coordinate repairs, and deliver exceptional technical support to ensure reliable operation of company-owned vehicles and equipment.

This in-office role requires 3+ years in fleet maintenance, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and fleet management tools.

Role Overview

As a Fleet Support Technician, you will provide fleet drivers, operators, and suppliers with maintenance and repair solutions while serving as a critical resource for technical support. This role helps ensure the efficient operation of company-owned vehicles and equipment through troubleshooting, vendor coordination, repair support, and exceptional customer service.

How you will make an impact
  • Assist drivers, operators, and suppliers with maintenance-related questions and technical support needs.
  • Coordinate repair solutions, including locating service providers, arranging roadside assistance, and supporting emergency repair situations.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and vehicle issues involving gas and diesel engines, aerial devices, trailers, tractors, hydraulics, and other heavy-duty equipment.
  • Verify repair and maintenance work order pricing and route repair authorization requests as needed.
  • Manage warranty inquiries, in-service date requests, rental and lease vehicle support, and fleet service guideline questions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance and repair events while providing status updates to field personnel during major or extended repairs.
  • Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve service, parts availability, and quality concerns while supporting continuous operational improvement.
What you will bring
  • 3+ years of experience in fleet maintenance, automotive repair, diesel engines, heavy-duty equipment, hydraulics, trailers, tractors, or aerial devices.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively support both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company systems and fleet management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting fleet operations.
Work Environment & Preferences
  • Work Model: In-office Corporate Office position
  • Preferred Schedule: Full-time, regular business hours
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel
  • Physical Requirements: Primarily office-based work requiring extended periods of sitting, computer use, and telephone communication, with occasional travel to support fleet operations and vendor relationships.
