Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the vehicle fleet in Houston, TX. The role involves assisting with preventive maintenance, repairs, and documentation to keep tractors, trailers, and equipment safe and efficient.

Under supervision, you will work with technicians, perform shop duties, prepare records, and help with safety inspections while maintaining a clean work area and using power and hand tools as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willing to be educated on proper use of lifting devices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs with technicians.
• Set up jobs, clean, and maintain shop equipment.
• Prepare electronic and manual records and reports.
• Assist with safety inspections and document the work.
• Move parts to and from the job site and install on vehicles as directed.
• Assist with fleet maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Use power and hand tools as directed by leadership.
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
