Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking an entry‑level maintenance helper to support the shop in servicing tractors, trailers, and fleet equipment. Under supervision, you will assist with inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to help ensure a safe and efficient vehicle fleet.

You will help with setting up jobs, keeping records, handling parts, and maintaining a clean work environment while using power and hand tools under leadership guidance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Support shop operations by performing duties such as job setup, cleaning and shop equipment maintenance.
• Prepare electronic and manual records and reports.
• Assist with safety inspections of equipment and document the work.
• Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install parts on vehicle as directed.
• Assist with fleet maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools as directed by leadership.
