Walmart Transportation seeks a Service Shop Repair Technician in Gas City, IN to perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, and service vehicles. You will use diagnostic tools, document work, and support warranty processes to ensure repairs are done right the first time.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years' experience in tractor/trailer inspection/repair or a technical school degree, valid driver's license, and DOT-related qualifications.

Qualificações

• 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.

Responsabilidades

• Perform minor to intermediate inspections, repairs, and replacements on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles).
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, consult as needed, and select repair solutions.
• Conduct minor diagnostics using technical/electronic equipment on engines, electronics, drivetrains, and minor HVAC.
• Receive fuel drops, monitor safety compliance, and collect/prepare fuel samples and required paperwork.
• Identify warrantable repairs and complete accurate maintenance entries, warranty tags, parts retention, and warranty claims per guidelines.
