The State of Delaware seeks a Fleet Technician to support direct customer service to state agencies, issue vehicles, track assignments, and schedule preventive maintenance. You will inspect vehicles for safety and cleanliness and perform basic maintenance such as oil checks and tire changes as needed.

Fleet Technicians provide direct customer service to state agencies, issuing vehicles, tracking and monitoring vehicle assignments, scheduling and coordinating preventive maintenance and repairs, inspecting vehicles for safety, serviceability, and cleanliness to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition. Basic knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to change tires, batteries, wipers, and light bulbs as needed. Ability to utilize computers and a smartphone is required.

All new hires are required to report to the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day of employment. Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.
