Job summary

Transportation in Scottsdale is seeking a Service Specialist Mechanic I to maintain district vehicles. The role performs basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and keeps accurate maintenance records. Requires vocational training or related experience; CDL within 6 months, CFC and ASE certifications.

Job is full-time, non-exempt with a hourly wage. Salary ranges from $21.03 to $21.88 per hour. Duties include following all safety and regulatory policies and maintaining professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Vocational training or related experience in automotive maintenance.
• Commercial Driver’s License should be obtained within 6 months of hiring date.
• CFC certification.
• ASE Certifications.
• Licensure in a trade.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs on gasoline and diesel vehicles.
• Performs preventative and corrective maintenance as assigned.
• Cleans and maintains all tools and testing equipment.
• Road or ground tests all repaired equipment.
• Maintains accurate records as needed on work performed on assigned district vehicles.
• Knowledge of and adheres to all District, State, and Federal policies, regulations and rules.
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
• Performs all duties in a safe and prudent manner.
• Performs other responsibilities as may be assigned.
