Job summary

UNFI is seeking a warehouse associate to inspect, clean, and stage trailers for routes or repair. You will ensure reefer fluids are checked, wash truck and trailer exteriors, and deodorize interiors while documenting fuel usage and daily wash tasks.

Experience in a related role is preferred, and a mechanical inclination with safety awareness is essential. The position offers full-time hours and a benefits package.

• One-year related experience and/or training.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Understanding of safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, and stage trailers for routes or repair.
• Check reefer fluid levels (oil/c coolant).
• Wash truck exterior and trailer interior as scheduled; deodorize trailer.
• Spray/wash out reefer units when needed.
• Report equipment damage to supervisor.
• Document fuel gallons used by each unit daily.
• Document equipment washed daily; check yard truck fluids.

Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for inspecting, cleaning, preparing and staging trailers for route or repair.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

• Check Reefer Fluid Levels Oil / Coolant.
• Wash Truck exterior as scheduled.
• Wash Trailer Exterior / Interior as Scheduled and Deodorize Trailer.
• Spray/Wash out Reefer Units as needed.
• Report Equipment Damage to Supervisor.
• Document fuel gallons used by unit daily.
• Document equipment washed daily.
• Check fluids on yard truck daily.
• Assist fleet mechanics with basic maintenance.
• Performs other job duties as required

Experience:

• One-year related experience and/or training
• System Implementation Preferred

Knowledge:

• Mechanically inclined
• Understanding of safety guidelines

Skills/Abilities:

• Dependable, responsible team player.
• Ability to operate a power washer and other cleaning equipment
• Ability to use a ladder
• Ability to work independently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
