Job summary

UNFI, the largest distributor of conventional, natural, organic and specialty products in the United States and Canada, is hiring a Warehouse Associate to join our distribution team in Carlisle, PA. You will support spill response, cleaning, and general warehouse operations to ensure safe, accurate and timely product handling.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, able to follow HACCP procedures, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Respond to spill and damage calls In the throughout facility
• Sweep and vacuum dock plates and sanitation barriers.
• Keep all areas free of debris such as wood fragments, pallet wrap, labels, and paper
• Discard leaking product and record on log
• Assist in special maintenance projects.
• Operates floor scrubber
• Sweeps and mop sanitation barriers
• Warehouse/Operations preferred but not required.
• Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality
• Possess an understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.
• Removes empty pallets and clean and mop slots
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

Compensation

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
