Job summary

Walmart Transportation is seeking an Operations Manager, Fleet Safety, to lead a team focused on world-class safety and operations for Walmart’s private fleet. You will identify risks, train drivers, and ensure compliance with OSHA and transportation regulations across the operation.

Responsibilities include supervising the team, handling incident reporting, forecasting staffing needs, and driving safety performance improvements while aligning with production and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety management, environmental science, traffic safety, transit safety, or related area.
• 2 years’ experience in safety within supply chain, retail, or related area.
• 4 years’ experience in traffic safety within supply chain, retail, or related area.
• 2 years’ experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., TPM) within supply chain or transportation maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential risks and conduct training sessions to educate drivers on safe operation practices.
• Supervise the team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and accountability.
• Handle reporting and investigative processes for accidents or injuries with thorough analysis and prompt action.
• Stay up to date with OSHA regulations and reporting criteria to maintain a safe work environment.
• Forecast staffing, workload, and safety performance results to meet business demands.
• Monitor and analyze business reports to manage productivity.
