AAA Club Alliance is seeking a Fleet Safety Coordinator to implement and monitor safety programs across the Central North Region. Based in one of our fleet offices (Perrysburg, Dayton, Akron, or Columbus), the role is in-office with travel to other locations within the territory as needed, and requires enforcing safety policies and conducting audits and risk assessments.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety or a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for state of residence.
• 2+ years leadership, supervisory, or training experience.
• 3+ years experience related to roadside assistance, traffic safety, and DQF compliance.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local safety laws and regulations.
• OSHA 30, CSP, or OHST certifications desirable.

AAA is now hiring an experienced Fleet Safety Coordinator position for our Central North Region. The Fleet Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing, and monitoring safety programs and policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This role involves conducting safety audits, providing training to Associates, and ensuring adherence to OSHA and other regulatory standards.This position will be based out of one of our Fleet offices at one of the following locations - Perrysburg, Dayton, Akron, or Columbus.This position will be in office, with travel to other locations within territory as needed.The primary duties of the role are to :Enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.Lead safety training sessions and orientations for new and existing Associates.Deliver regular safety training to Club Fleet drivers, including roadside safety, vehicle recovery, load securement and PPE usage.Review workplace accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective measures.Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and compliance documentation.Collaborate with leadership to promote a culture of safety.Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership.Stay current with OSHA, DOT, EPA, FMCSA and other relevant regulations and industry best practices relevant to towing operations.Intervenes in the case of unsafe activities or operations being carried out by Associates within the workplace.Performs evaluation of safety policies, methods, and programs.Conducts vehicle safety checks.Leads and facilitates a culture of safety by working closely with the Manager, Club Fleet Safety.Ensures staff is aware of service goals, procedures, and reward opportunities.Provides various data analysis for business line. Develops, monitors and interprets on-going reports on a monthly/quarterly basis.Communicates routinely with staff to reinforce safety goals, address concerns, and provide safety related feedback.Provides and or coordinates coaching and training as needed.Ensure safety procedures are followed and maintain safe working conditions.Ensure all drivers meet required certifications, licenses and medical card requirements.Other duties as assigned.What we can offer you:The starting base compensation for this position is $46,726 to $75,625 annually. Actual pay will be based on factors such as applicant experience, geographic location, and local employment laws .Eligible for Annual Merit Increase and BonusPaid Time Off (almost 4 weeks the first year)8 Paid Holidays401(k) plan with employer match up to 7%Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription coverageFREE AAA membership (inclusive of product & service discounts)FREE Life Insurance and so much more!Minimum Qualifications:Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety or a related field preferred.Possess and maintain a valid driver's license for the state of residence.2+ year’s leadership, supervisory, or training experience required.3+ years’ experience relevant to roadside assistance, traffic safety, and DQF compliance required.2+ years of experience in a safety-related role.Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local safety laws and regulations.Certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or OHST (Occupational Health and Safety Technologist) are highly desirable.Satisfactory pre-and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug and motor vehicle screening.Knowledge Skills and Abilities:Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with ability to clearly relay information concerning safety precautions to Associates.Ability to present and demonstrate Fleet safety policies and procedures to others.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to travel to various fleet locations.Ability to treat data confidentially.Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.Ability to read, analyze, develop, and explain operational data.Strong organizational skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Successfully complete required departmental training courses within 60 days of hire.Successfully complete ongoing department training as required.
