Job summary

Walmart in Palestine, TX seeks a Maintenance Inspector to perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on trailers, tractors, yard trucks, and service vehicles in line with DOT guidelines and company standards.

You will create and process work orders, identify parts and solutions, and communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates while maintaining required records and logs.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
• Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements following company guidelines for Walmart equipment.
• Creates and processes work orders, assesses maintenance needs, identifies parts and possible solutions, and selects the best option.
• Communicates with customers, suppliers, and associates verbally and in writing; maintains records logs and documents per procedures.
