Job summary

Walmart Transportation in Wellford, SC is hiring a Service Shop Preventative Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs of trailers, tractors, and shop vehicles to keep the fleet safe and road-ready.

You will create work orders, identify parts, follow DOT guidelines, and document repairs while contributing to uptime and compliance across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Brake inspection qualification as defined by FMCSA regulations (Section 396.25).
• Vehicle Inspection qualification as defined by FMCSA regulations (Section 396.19).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs on Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles).
• Create and process work orders; assess needs, identify parts, and select repair solutions.
• Repair/replace brake components, wheel seals, and tractor-trailer tires per DOT requirements.
• Document updates and logs and complete required records.
